The Unofficial Patch & Alternate Start mods are not required, but you'll see a neck gap on some clothes if you don't install USKP/USLEEP. USLEEP, Bug Fixes, Crash Fixes & OneTweak are stability/performance mods I also use, Alternate Start skips the intro cutscene before character creation and gives you different starting options and RaceMenu adds extra character customisation options.
